Quad City Times – Michelle Anderson stood ready Saturday, clad in shorts and her husband’s firefighter’s jacket and holding a high-powered water hose.
Two minutes later, she won the round, having sprayed a barrel on a rope into the opponent’s zone. It was one of several wins for her in the first-ever Water Wars in downtown Davenport.
The event hosting multiple Midwestern fire departments was co-sponsored by the Davenport Association of Professional Firefighters Local 17, and the Downtown Partnership.
